Fabrication

Fabrication welding is used as part of the manufacturing process for a number of reasons.

1) To increase the size of a single piece item when a casting would be too large or complex to be cast as a new piece item. Using this technique a single piece item of 18,000kg can be produced.

2) To produce an assembly consisting of a number of individual parts welded together. Goodwin can manufacture welded assemblies up to 50,000kg total weight.   

3) Forgings, piping and control equipment are welded onto castings for manufacturing and installation purposes.

4) As a process route to make a finished product.
