Accredited management systems

Quality Management: Goodwin Steel Castings was the first steel foundry worldwide to be accredited by the British Standards Institution to BS5750 (now ISO9001:2000). Accreditation was first granted in 1984.

The Goodwin machining facility, Goodwin International,  also received the quality assurance accreditation in 1984.

Environmental Management: The foundry is accredited by BVQI to the environmental management system ISO14001:2004. It operates under an authorisation as a prescribed industrial processes under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

Manufacturing approval

As well as management system approvals Goodwin is approved as a casting and material manufacturer by Lloyds Register (LR), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

Scope includes Carbon, Carbon-manganese and Alloy steels; Martensitic, Duplex and Austenitic stainless steels; Nickel alloys.  

Corporate Technical Memberships

As part of our commitment to technical resources Goodwin are members of The Steel Construction Institute, The Cast Metals Federation and Castings Technology International.
