16inch gate valves

These 16inch gate valves are cast in 22%Cr duplex stainless steel to the NORSOK specification requirements.

The material is UNS J92205 and each casting was 100% radiographed to ASTM E186 level 2

96" Butterfly Valve Body

Carbon steel butterfly valve body for the seawater intake system on Sizewell B nuclear power station.

Goodwin can cast and machine butterfly valve bodies in carbon and stainless steels up to 105" diameter and 10,000kg in weight.

Radiography of thick-wall valve body

Goodwin's manufacturing facility is supported by comprehensive in-house NDT facilities able to fully inspect heavy and large section castings and fabrications.

The photo shows a 7,000kg valve body castings undergoing 100% radiography on the 8.5MeV linear accelerator.

Dual plate check valves ready for despatch

Goodwin International's own product - the most technically advanced Dual Plate Check Valve available. The vary in size from 2 to 144inch and are supplied through a distributor network in over 50 countries world wide.

The experience gained in designing, manufacturing and becoming the world leader in dual plate check valves has given Goodwin unrivalled experience in build and assembly.

Subsea ball valves

Class 5,000 metal-seated subsea diverless intervention ball valve body castings, for Statford oil field.

These valve bodies were produced by Goodwin in duplex stainless steel with nickel alloy 625 weld overlay. Supplied fully machined and weld overlaid with forged pups welded on

Nickel alloy 625 control valve

Goodwin specialise in super nickel alloys which are manufactured by the AOD refining process - this produces a cleaner metal with superior casting and corrosion resistance properties.

The photo shows a 20" 900 valve in super nickel alloy 625, 3,650kg in weight and 70 inch [1,75m] flange to flange.

8,500kg Steam Control Valve

Double butterfly valves for the Main Steam Pipes on the 1356MW ABWR (Advanced Boiling Water Reactor) Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station located in Niigata prefecture, Japan.

The material is a micro-alloyed steel with 0.5% Cu. The 8,500kg valves were supplied in the fully machined condition.

Cryogenic testing Goodwin valve

At their in-house Gas Testing Facility Goodwin are capable of testing pressures up to 414 bar g at temperatures from ambient to minus 196°C

High pressure helium gas testing is carried out in an explosion safety zone. Equipped with calibrated helium mass spectrometer with sensitivity of 2:10-minus 12 mbar l/

300MW MSV manifold with two stop valve castings

This unit weighs 17,600kg and is supplied in the finish machined condition. The manifold has four forgings fabricated on and the stop valves each have one forging fabricated on; the stop valves are then welded to the manifold.

A fabricated CRV is supplied with each main stop valve the combined weight is 25,000kg.

A total of 40 fabrications have been supplied to a Chinese turbine manufacturer.
