300MW Main Stop Valve
Fully assembled three port MSV in 2.25Cr1Mo steel. Goodwin manufacture all the castings and machined items and fully assemble the unit.
The seats are weld overlaid with 12Cr material using robotic welding techniques. Before despatch lift tests are carried out on the spring lifters to ensure the correct travel to clear the regulator seats. Hydro pressure testing is carried out at 5,250psi
The main body casting weighs 7,000kg and the assembled unit is 15,700kg.
Recently Goodwin has supplied 76off 3 port and 20off 2 port main stop valves. |

Dimensional inspection of a valve head (bonnet) for a 12inch steam valve
These type of heads are typically supplied as forgings. Goodwin worked with the customer to enable them to be converted to castings. This supply route saved cost and delivery time over the forgings.
Cast heads have been supplied for valves from 7 to 30inch and up to 4,000kg in weight.
