CNC horizontal machining centre

Goodwin have three of these Toshiba BTD13F machines, which are CNC controlled with Tosnuc control, tool changer, extending quill and full C axis. X-axis 3m; Y-axis 2.2m; Z-axis 1.5m.

There are also four Toshiba BTD12 horizontal borers with a 2m X-axis.

The photo shows a 330MW Main Stop Valve (12,600kg) undergoing proof machining for NDT to be carried out.

Toshiba NX-76 CNC horizontal boring centre. Equipped with pallet changer, 60-position tool changer and a capacity of 0.75m cube.

CNC vertical boring machine centre

Toshiba TSS-30-55B vertical boring machine, as are most of Goodwin machines the vertical borer is CMM controlled with tool changer and live spindle. It has a maximum turn diameter of 6,000mm (236 inches) and turn height of 2,590mm (102 inches).

There are six large vertical boring machining centres available at Goodwin.

Shown on the photo is a 20inch re-heat valve held in a machining jig.

CNC vertical boring machine centre

The machining centre is a Toshiba TXN-16 CNC vertical borer with 1.6m chuck and 2m turn diameter, with a maximum turning height of 1.0m.
Equipped with live spindle tooling for milling, drilling and tapping (both vertically and horizontally).

Shown in the photo - vertical boring machining of large alloy steel crankshafts. The 4,500kg crankshafts are used for oil exploration mud pumps.
