Tsing Ma Bridge - Hong King Harbour
The Tsing Ma Bridge carries two three-lane carriageways on top of another twin lane carriageway next to a twin track railway line. These span over the Ma Wan Channel in Hong Kong Harbour to connect the new international airport at Chep Lap Kok to the centre of Hong Kong.
At 202km long with a 1,377m main span it is the world's longest suspension bridge carrying both road and rail traffic

Tsing Ma Bridge - clamping the Cable Bands
This photograph shows one of the Goodwin cable bands being clamped to one of the 1.1m diameter suspension cables.
The total length of wire that makes up the 2.2km of 1.1m diameter suspension cables is 160,000km, enough to circle the earth 4 times. The weight of the cable steel is about 28,000 tons

Jiangyin Bridge - coating
Corrosion protection of cable bands is vital to the long-term life of a suspension bridge.
Metal spraying with zinc is followed by further protection from sea water corrosion with a multicoat two-pack epoxy resin paint system.
Both metal spraying and painting is carried out at the Goodwin facility.
