CDC Inner Barrel for Gas Turbine

A finish machined inner barrel for advanced gas turbine.  This forms part of the seal to restrict compressor discharge air from leaking into the forward wheel space area.

The inner barrel is machined from four castings fitted and doweled together, the doweling is designed to minimise turbulence from the air flow. The inner barrel has cast internal chambers and then a groove is machined in to take the brush seal.

Goodwin have manufactured over 500 of these inner barrels in CrMoV creep resistant steel.

600MW re-heat and intercept steam valve

Fully assembled RSV-IV destined for a 600MW turbine in a Chinese power station. Goodwin manufacture and fabricate all body castings and source, machine and assemble all the internals and operating components.

The valves are hydro tested, operation tested, painted and packed for shipping to the destination, ship weight is 24,000kg.

600MW main stop valve

Fully assembled main stop valve for coal fired steam turbine plant.
The 600MW MSV body is produced from two castings which are weld fabricated together to make a 13,000kg body.

The fully machined and assembled valve is shown in a stand ready for despatch. The assembled weight is 18,400kg.

Gas Turbine Burner Nozzle

Every gas turbine has gas or fuel oil burner nozzles around the combustion chamber. Seen in the photo is a 304L stainless steel gas turbine nozzle that is produced by Goodwin.

Wedgeplug Valve

20 inch Wedgeplug valve in CF8M (316) stainless steel.

For many years Goodwin has manufactured a non-lubricated Wedgeplug Valve for difficult, high temperature process applications.
These valves are fully assembled at the Goodwin facility.

Cable band assembly inspection

A 12-bolt, 1,800mm cable band assembly undergoing dimensional inspection prior to packing.

Goodwin manufactured these cable band assemblies for the Jiangyin Suspension Bridge over the Yangtze River in China. The machined castings are metal spray coated, painted and assembled with all the bolting and fasteners.
