Goodwin have the most modern and comprehensive machining company attached to any UK foundry. Goodwin International Ltd are 8km from the foundry and have had ISO9001 accreditation since 1884.

The machine shop has 23 large, modern, computerised, numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools which are complimented with more traditional machine tools and a fitting assembly shop.

This company runs on a three-shift system and has integrated computerised manufacturing control systems.

Equipped with overhead cranes of 50 tonne lifting capacity, there is some 90,000 sq ft (3,400 sq mtr) of high productivity manufacturing area.
